My name is Suguru Nishioka, and my friends and colleagues call me Sug (like "Doug", not "Sugar"). I consider myself a designer more than anything else. Trained in new media/interactive design, traditional arts and civil engineering, I offer 15+ years of professional experience in fast-moving SF Bay Area start-up environment and hands-on expertise in user experience and product design including product management, app/web/IoT front-end architecture, industrial and mechanical design, and everything in between for both consumer and large-scale corporate customers. I have been recognized for developing and implementing scalable and adaptable product development methodologies to often chaotic start-up team environment. I always look for a challenge and strive to innovate, design and deliver products that make people’s lives better.

I studied Civil Engineering at National College of Technology in Japan and received a B.F.A. in New Media Design at Academy of Art University.
